design trends are great, but creating the trend is greater.
Los Angeles based illustrator and designer Danny Curnen (Danny Excess) works primarily within the entertainment industry and is predominantly known for his captivating concepts, key art, concert poster and branding design work. Creative Bloq (UK) named him as one of ‘Top 10 Most Inspiring Poster Artists of The Year’, and he was nominated for ‘Pollstar Magazine's 'Poster Artist Of The Year’. He regularly works with renowned brands, music festivals, concert venues, and artists that include AEG, Live Nation, Comedy Central, South By Southwest (SXSW), CMJ Music Marathon, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Eat Drink Vegan, House of Blues, The Troubadour, The Roxy Theatre, and many more. In 2015, he designed and created a 10’ tall Gibson Les Paul Model Guitar Monument sculpture as a part of Gibson Guitar’s ‘Guitar Town’, joining the creative company of other notable Guitar Town artists such as Kat Von D, Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park and sculptor Eugene Daub. That same year, his poster design for Lisa Marie Presley went on display as part of a one year exhibit at Elvis Presley’s Graceland in Memphis, TN. Danny recently re-branded the iconic eagle logo for Tecate, and created all design assets for comedian Nick Swardson's 'Taste It Tour', which included the tour poster, billboards, print ads, and set design for his Comedy Central special.
